If you are living outside the Greenpark school zone, it is only possible to secure a place if there is a space in the classrooms of the year level your child is applying for. The reason for setting up the enrolment zone is to ensure that our class sizes to not become too large and over-crowded. Children living outside the zone may obtain a place through a ballot system.

Applications for out of zone enrolments will be processed in the following order:

First priority does not apply as this school does not operate a special programme.

Second priority must be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.

Third priority must be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.

Fourth priority must be given to any applicant who is a child of a former student of the school.

Fifth priority must be given to any applicant who is either a child of an employee of the board of the school or a child of a member of the board of the school.

Sixth priority must be given to other applicants.

As part of the enrolment process we require the following documentation:

Proof of identity & eligibilty to study:

A New Zealand, Cook Island, Niuean or Australian Birth Certificate or Passport. Note: NZ Birth Certificate for births after 2006 must have Y for NZ Citizen 

OR 

NZ Citizenship, NZ Residency or Student Visa with eligibility to study as a domestic student.

 Proof of Address for In Zone Applicants:

This must be a  Power Bill, Rates Advice or Rental Tenancy Agreement only.

Please note that providing false information is against the law. If we find that there has been falsifying of documents your childs enrolment will be terminated and you will be reported to authorities.

These documents need to be emailed to enrolment@greenparkschool.co.nz or brought into the office for verification BEFORE your child can start school.

Your child can not start school until we have sighted all documentation.

• Contact the school office on enrolment@greenparkschool.co.nz at any age prior to turning 5 years old if you are intending to enrol.

• Before your child's 5th birthday, we will make contact with you to start the enrolment process. 

• Once a place at Greenpark School has been confirmed, a transition programme will be provided to ensure a successful start to school including a meeting with a senior new entrant teacher or one of our management team.

• School visits will be arranged prior to your child starting school. Our New Entrant teachers will visit all in zone Early Childhood Centres to meet your child and their early childhood teacher.

• Parent information meetings will be provided to ensure you are informed about our school, vision, values and curriculum.

• There are two new entrant intakes a term, in week one and six. Your child must turn 5 prior to their official start date. A child can not start school before their fifth birthday.

• New Entrant Stationery Packs and Uniforms are available for purchase from the School Office.
• To add your child to our preschoolers list so we can contact you closer to the time of starting their enrolment, please contact enrolment@greenparkschool.co.nz

If your child is transferring from another school and you are living in zone, you will need to complete the following process:

• You need to let their current school know first.

• Contact us on enrolment@greenparkschool.co.nz with your childs name, date of birth, previous school, year level, address and contact details.

• Provide all documentation via the same email address (see details above for enrolment documentation required.)

A staff member will then make contact with you to discuss the enrolment process.

With the growing traffic problems in Tauranga we have started an initiative with the Tauranga City Council to alleviate traffic pressures at the school gate. Learners and their families can sign up to our Park and Stride programme at the school office. Students can walk, scooter or bike to and from school or 500m away from school (to Maleme Street, Moreland Fox or Carlisle Street). These students will finish school at 2:50pm allowing them to get away safely before the traffic flows around the school gates.

SCHOOL BUS

 We have one school bus number 906 that services part of The Lakes, Pyes Pa and Windermere. To be able to use the school bus service you need to contact the school office to sign your child up to the bus roll. The school bus is currently a free service.

 Second Hand Uniforms

Second hand uniforms are available on our online school shop also. The stock for these items are really limited but are updated regularly.

Stationery packs can be purchased online through our school shop here on our website, or at the school office by cash or Eftpos.

Prices for the different packs are available on the school shop.

Students in Years 0-4 will also need a Library Bag and a Journal Bag.

Students in Years 5-6 will just require a Library Bag.

All students transferring to Greenpark School from another school will require a sketch pad also.
